New York City, August 27, 2004 Broome Street Gallery, 498 Broome Street is pleased to announce "The Birth of Coffee," a traveling exhibition of photographs and narrative text. Based on the book, The Birth of Coffee, published by Random House, the exhibition opens September 4, with an opening reception from 7 to 9 pm on Thursday, September 9. Daniel Lorenzetti and Linda Rice Lorenzetti, a husband and wife documentary team, traveled to eight of the world's major coffee growing regions to document the diversity of people worldwide involved in bringing coffee to the cup. The exhibition, sponsored by Sara Lee Coffee and Tea North America, continues through September 26.

Broome Street Gallery is on the ground level at 498 Broome Street between West Broadway and Wooster Street in New York City's Soho District. Gallery hours are 11 to 6, Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is free.
